Noticeboard

We are following advice from NHS England that all patients must be triaged first before they can be seen. We are aware this has caused an increase in our phone traffic and at times patients have trouble accessing us. We are aware of this issue and have purchased a new telephone system with increased lines, this will be coming in the next 4-6 weeks, we ask patients to be patient with us during this very busy time.
Please think before you shout or abuse our staff, we are trying our best and do not tolerate abuse of any kind.

FLU - We are fast approaching flu season! We will be vaccinating patients on an appointment only basis, we have not yet received our flu vaccines. Please note that people in the 50-64-year old age group will not be vaccinated until November and December, providing there is sufficient vaccine and no appointments will be offered for this age group until then. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first. If you are 50-64 and you are in one of the other groups which are eligible for the flu vaccination, for example, you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited earlier.

Travel Vaccinationsglobal air travel

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below

Europe Europe & Russia North America North America
Central America Central America South America South America
Caribbean Caribbean Africa Africa
Middle East Middle East Central Asia Central Asia
East Asia East Asia Australasia Australasia and Pacific

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as more than one appointment may be required with the practice nurse depending on vaccination schedule required.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.

If you are travelling to Europe the EU has published useful information for travellers on the European website.
